A cheaper OEM scantool

I came across this at the Prius site. Looks like we don't have to cough up +$7 G's to have detailed access to our Toyota's

https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfo...ite&_nfpb=true

Still a bit pricey, but I'm going to look into it

Re: A cheaper OEM scantool

IF you get one of these let us know, there are some scan codes that are not doc'd, that would be good to derive from such a device.

Re: A cheaper OEM scantool

from the link posted :

"Techstream Lite supports DLC3/J1962 based diagnostic functions on 1996 and later Toyota, Scion, and Lexus vehicles marketed in the United States. You must have an active professional level subscription to use Techstream software."

If I already have an active level subscription why would I need the Lite version, but more importantly, how can I get the Lite version without having the resources to get the full version active professional level subscription?

Re: A cheaper OEM scantool

The dealership route, using the Panasonic ToughBook, will set you back $7 G's. The Mongoose MFC package is $1,345, which includes a 1 year TIS subscription.

By itself, the Techinfo TIS subscription is $995 for a year
