Calling Steve-O @ MAF off road

Steve, I got my crossmember and skid on, I had to drill out the bolt holes bigger in the cross member, to get them to line up with the mounting points on the frame. The tolerances you have for the existing holes is a bit too tight. Or I could have ground down the seam weld's on the frame rails, I wasn't about to grind on the frame though.

Just thought you'd want to know, I don't if you've had any other customers install one yet, and run into the same issues or not. Maybe on future product you should make the holes a little bigger.....or not.

Anyway....GREAT looking product....I like how the crossmember doesn't hang down any farther than the factory crossmember..

SORRY NO PHOTOS....I'm still picture illiterate. I'll have pictures after MOAB!!

Off to Moab.......TA-TA

Sometimes the powder coating can fill in holes a bit, those look like amazing products. On my wish list

It wasn't powder coating that made the holes tight. They just didn't match up to the bolt holes on the frame.

Sorry about that, I'll be looking into that today. Glad to hear you like the plate though. Here are some new pictures of your skid plate as well as our latest plate that extends out in front of it. Enjoy!

Re: Calling Steve-O @ MAF off road

Ok, we checked over 10 different plates and all of them fit no problem. There must be differences in the frames or that weld that the bracket would sit on. Either way we will enlarge the holes slightly so it wont happen again.
