Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

I don't know if there is a way..... But it's worth to ask....

Can there be a hose that can come out so maybe you can use the tank to fill a quad.... Or someone else that might have run out of fuel???? That might be too much of a pain.... But would be cool.

I probably wont recommend doing this, but if you disconnected the blue hose (pictured on the tank) from the main tank, you could technically run the fuel anywhere you wanted. You would probably need to block off the fitting to the main tank though.

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

Wow.

I think you got it. Maybe just trim the trailing edge up at a 45 degree angle to help the departure angle and lose a little capacity, but overall I think it is a great addition to your product line. Can't wait for pricing.

While you are at it maybe you can fix the filling issue with the stock tank so I don't have to mannualy pump the last two gallons in every stinking time!

That's what I was thinking as well..... Might take a gallon or 2 away..... But that would be ok.

Thinking the same thing here. It would look cleaner as well.

X3

With a 23 gallon tank, we could lose a couple and not miss them.

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

An angle on the trailing edge would be nice for rocks and such. Is it possible to make that modification on your end Steve-o?

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

Well, chamfering the trailing edge sounds good, but hard to tell if that will matter once the (un-pictured) skid is in place.

But it looks like they have come up with a good solution for those 3 day expeditions into the wilderness.
