FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

With few new products coming out of Man-A-Fre for the FJ lately, I am very happy to say that our new fuel tank kit will be in production very shortly.

Pictures and specs can be found here: Auxiliary fuel tank kit

We are in the final stages of testing the tank, the finished product will have a built in skid plate.

I always like looking to the board for comments or suggestions. Thanks!

Steve

Looks great, but I'm sure it will be very expensive. After this years vacation, I'd love to have a larger tank, however the cost will be a determining factor.

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

How difficult is it to install and "marry" to the existing tank? How do the tanks connect (since they come from the same filler)? How does the extra fuel (200lbs) + the weight of the tank itself change the FJ's handling characteristics?

It would be interesting to read a "road test" on the aux. tank even if it is not completely objective.

Yeah, I'm interested. Cool!

...and if you'd like to bolt it to my FJ and have me test it for you and review it, I'm available for beta test work!

Nice looking tank, I'll be watching this thread close to see what type of pricing it has, thanks.

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

So is does this tank transfer fuel to the primary tank?? Or is there a switch by the driver for tank 1 and tank 2???

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

Looks like a nice unit you guys have put together. Glad to see that someone finally has one of these out, I know there was a lot of interest in something like this.

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

I would like to see a side view to see the change to clearance. But other than that, VERY excited.

Re: FJ Cruiser Auxiliary fuel tank

Thanks for the feedback, we are very excited to release it as well.

Installation will be very easy, with the kit we will be providing a modified stock filler neck. We will have to do this on an exchange basis.

There is a built in transfer pump, we designed this tank to pump to the main tank, not switch inbetween the two. Hook up will be VERY easy with our fill neck.

We are testing the tank right now for ease of filling, and seeing if the road characteristics have changed. I will post updates as we move along.

Pricing will be very reasonable in my opinion, in about 1-2 weeks I am hoping to post a price.
