Re: Kaymar Rear Swingout Tire & Fuel Carrier Bumper

Here are some answers to your questions... Sorry no real updates have been given lately.

1. How much does it weigh with/without swingouts?

-Not quite sure yet, we were so anxious to put the first one on we didnt weigh it. I would estimate roughly 100 lbs without the swing outs, and 150 lbs. with the swing outs.

2. Will it accomodate the Toyota backup sensors?

-This is still being tested, the back-up sensors might malfunction with the new swing outs. We should know for sure with the final prototype that is coming in soon.

3. Will it work with the MAF auxiliary fuel tank?

-This was initially one of the first hold-ups of the fuel tank, we spent a long time making sure they will work together.

4. Is the top diamond plate portion removable (i,e; bolted on) for powder-coating or anodizing purposes?

-Yes it is removable, bolted on in several places.

5. Can it hold a hi-lift jack?

-There is actually a picture of the hi-lift on the back of the bumper on our site.

6. When will it be available?

-Not soon enough, because there are not many FJ's in Australia there is no way to test fit the bumpers without shipping one here. There has been countless measurements, pictures, comparisons, and revisions that we have had to make. The final prototype is supposed to be here very soon, shipping from Aus. takes sooooooooo loooooooooooonngggggggg.

7. Does Mark get paid for answering all of Man-A-Fre's questions?

-No, but he really should! We are lucky to have a customer that takes the time to help other members with our questions.
