Kaymar Rear Swingout Tire & Fuel Carrier Bumper

I noticed that your a dealer for Kaymar 4wd products. Are they working on a swing arm rear tire carrier for the FJ? They have them for all the other Toyota Landcurisers. If so when will it be released here in the States, Thanks

Re: Kaymar Question

Just saw this on the MAF website. I saw the bumper when I was at MAF last week, but before it got powder coated. Very nice:

Re: Kaymar Question

Here are a few more pictures. The bumper will have two swing out pivots, you can choose to use one, both, or neither. We are hopfully done making minor adjustments to the bumper, production should start soon, the U.S. should see the first shipment in about 2-3 months.

I will take some better pictures outside today if I can. I'll be running around most of the day.

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Steve, any idea on pricing yet? It appears that it swings out in two different directions, the fuel swings out to the right and the tire swings out to the left..Is that a correct assumption? Thanks for the update

No prices yet, the pictured bumper is just the prototype. Now that it has been fitted and adjusted Kaymar will start working on the production run. The swing out appose each other yes, tire to the left, can to the right. The bumper will be sold seperate from the swing outs so you dont have to run either if you dont want to.

Here are a few more pictures from today.

Re: Kaymar Question

Nice, I would like just the jerrycan swingout, and use my stock mount for the tire still.

What about the factory hitch, will it work, and also the backup sensors.

Re: Kaymar Question

A new, stronger hitch is included in the bumper. The factory hitch will not work. I dont know about the backup sensors just yet, the swing outs may disrupt the senors.

ARB Snorkel and KayMar Rear Bumper (Swingout Tire Carrier)

I couldn't resist posting up, and I know Steve has been snowed under with actual work and stuff

I wanted to pass on that MAF has the Safari Snorkels coming in. Nice price, checkout the Man-A-Fre webpage.

They also are getting the primo KayMar rear bumpers with optional swing out tire carriers, jerry can carriers, hi lift carriers, etc. I don't know the details of options / prices, but checkout the MAF page and also this post in the MAF section of this forum.

I know alot of final development work is also being done on the aux fuel tank.

FYI

I was thinking the same thing, but I'm not sure it would work. It looks like the tire swingout is off-centered to allow for the jerrycan. I'm not sure the jerrycan would fit with the stock spare location. Steve?
