i know my setup is a bit different but yet still the same extra tank i use to get the codes always when i fill the tank all the way to the top the some time i keep pumping tell i get it round up to the next & like if the pump is 21.75$ i`ll keep abusing the pump to get it to 22$ but i stopped that for couple of months now and i didn't get any codes nor any problems well basically the FJ computer had to accept the extra tank weather he like it or no it must be installed and used !! Good Luck guys The FJ it is a nice off road vehicle BUT you have to have Patience for it !

I get codes usually after I refill, but I don't overfill the tanks. When I see the aux tank gauge hit "F", I stop and the needle will still "float" after I leave the gas station which means it hasn't topped out.
I've also had my tank for over 15 months, but the codes persist. So, I think that I've been pretty patient about the code problem. It's an annoyance that doesn't affect performance, but it would be "nice" to get rid of the codes once and for all after all this time. This is separate and apart from the early click off and "slow fill" problem caused by the restrictive nature of the aux tank fill tube, which has always been a problem as well.
In the meantime, I continue to carry my OBDII reader in the tool compartment and just haul it out and hook it up whenever the codes return and stand patiently at the pump building up my grip strength while refilling the last 5-10 gals in the aux tank.
