LIFT INSTALL:
For a first suspension i went with the OME medium/medium setup. It rides awesome. Layton (layonnn) was gracious enough to help me install it. Thanks again man i could NOT have done it without your vast knowledge! Ordered the kit from Jacque over at TRDPARTS4u.com.

here's layton doing all the work...

Re: Hodges Fj

Mmm, i think i can do this weekend.

Where are you ordering it from? Trdparts4u in Dallas has some great prices. Call and ask for Jacque, he'll hook you up.

Have you thought about coming to Wheeltoberfest in October as well? Will be a very fun event.

Re: Hodges Fj

Looks great Hodges.

BTW, my stupid front coilovers still won't go in, haha.

I have now resorted to getting on the forum to scour install threads for other ideas.
With the bottle jack on, front diff completely unbolted, and the control arms pushed all the way down, still its about a cm off from being able to go in.

DANG!! I thought they would be easy to get them on since they're not as long as the OME? well, if you need some help dont hesitate to ask.

Layton
Wrapping on the flat side of the top of the knuckle with a small sledge usually releases the knuckle from the UCA . It may take more than a few hit's but that method has never failed me .
thanks

Tierod puller got it in 5 seconds. I will never do a front suspension install without one of these. It makes getting the coilover in and out super easy. Finally got finished with it just now. Went to return the tool and then use the coke machine to get a powerade, Diet Coke came out. It has been a very unlucky weekend, ha.

Hodges, check out the for texas WTF gear swap thread i made. You might find someone bringing some sliders. That is if the TG slider group buy doesn't happen.
