NICE PICT's MIR'... and thanks for the info !...

Fjam', No problems at 12psi with you LTB's ?
No, they seem happier at 12 then at 15. Barely flexed at 15. I'm slow though. No skinny pedal for me.

Hey Mark,

I got a couple questions for ya if you don't mind answering:

1) Did you ever end up removing your rear sway bar?

and

2) Do you have limiting straps up front? If so do you have any pics of the setup?

Thanks bud!

Re: the mir207 machine

I am also wondering about the front...

I assume your downtravel in the front is limited by the UCA/spring contact... with the Total Chaos what is the point of contact? Specifically, is there any spring to ball joint contact?

I'm thinking about limit straps for my front since with the stock UCA's, the ball joint smashes into the spring resulting in various badness. If this is avoided with the different shape of the TC I'd love to know so I could forgo the fuss of the straps!

Mark, did you solve the issue with the LTB? Will they warranty it?

I'm swaybar-less front and rear. We tested with a fork-lift to see if there was any chance of my OME 897 springs popping off. Nope - they're on there whether they like it or not The ride is fine, even doing 80mph on the freeway - I think the high-rate springs are a big part of that.

I have no limit straps. We assessed that on the lift. It's being limited on down droop by either the coil or the shock (shock I think), so at some point we might want to put straps on, but so far we haven't.

With the TC's, the down droop stops before the UCA's contact the coil. There aren't any straps on right now. My guess is the guy that's suffering in that is the shock, which I think ends up being the "limit"

I didn't yet. I kinda feel my speed and tire pressure might have been the issue. I want to try them again (I have two more from 4wheelparts waiting) and see if I get more issues.

Been away from the forum more than usual lately - sorry no to get back to you. I don't know if the 895's will be OK or not, unfortunately. I freaked because I heard the pop-ing off stories, so that's why we full test cycled on the fork lift. Problem is, the results probably only apply to the specific coils and struts I have

Thanks!

I ended up stuffing the rear pretty well, springs stayed in I think with normal OME's in back, i have LESS shock travel than your LT OME's.. so i think i'm safe.

Re: the mir207 machine

Quote:
- Shaking Mounting Bolts Loose
One note about the rear control arm elements: mine have actually shaken loose through usage on several occasions. Twice now, the upper rear control arms have come completely loose of the mount. I guess heavy and frequent shaking can undo nuts - who knew Most recently, I thought I'd broken my steering, but it turned out my rear axle was slightly flapping in the breeze (! hair raising !). But the bottom line is that the bolts that come with these parts are not adequate, and we've replaced the bolts / nuts on the arms and the suspension with something that should be alot harder to shake loose.
Can you elaborate on what part you used to make this stronger? Thanks.

Dom, I havent had any issues with the removal of the rear sway bar.Def more flex on the rear. You just cant drive it like a mad man on the freeway. The first run I did without the sway bar was at Miller Jeep trail. If a springs where going to pop out ,it would of happen that day.Springs stayed in the same position no movement.Thinking about removing the front also.
