Since I switched bumpers, I had to find some new off-road lights that would fit the All-Pro without a light hoop. (My previous KC lights on my Warn bumper were way too deep to mount anywhere on the All-Pro.)
I found the ProComp Explorers to be the perfect combination of low-profile size, brightness and ease of installation.

I really like the All-Pro bumper. I've been considering one myself... I think it fits the FJ really well. So will that shotgun support my Benelli riot shotgun?

Yep, I was initially a little disappointed that the Warn bumper didn't work out, but I'm really appreciating the light-weight low profile of the All-Pro. (I actually got a few MPGs back when I switched over. )

Actually I was in Italy for two-weeks... but other than that my Dad's rapidly declining condition has had me selling his tools, firearms, etc. since he has to go into a care facility.

I like that... I really didn't want to cut the mileage... after buying Petrol in Europe I got a chance to see what it'll be like here eventually...

I don't think I meet the minimums... I've only done DR coilovers, TRD CAI, door nets, 2nd horn, PIAA bulbs everywhere... pretty tame compared to your stuff...

LCS, in the picture you have of your SF FJ i see you measured you approach angle as a line from bumper to the front of where the tire is (almost like using a yard stick). I thought approach angles where measured from the center of where the tire touches the ground to the bumper
I couldn't copy this picture into the forum but this is just one picture of many tat i have seen with the measurement from the middle

Not to pick on Toyota's graphic artists, but if you look closely at that photo in the FJ Cruiser product reference guide, you'll see that they weren't too accurate on a number of their illustrations (i.e., ground clearance, approach/departure angle, breakover angle, etc.)
True clearance angles are designated (and measured) by actual areas where specific body parts will not be encumbered by terrain in any way. As an example, the ground clearance is meaured by the very lowest point on the vehicle. (In that particular promo photo, it actually shows the transfer case hanging lower than their point of measurement at the chasis, and the rear differential isn't even shown.) And, their departure angle illustration has the reference line going right up through the protruding rear bumper.
So to answer your specific question, the approach angle starts where the furthest protrusion on the front bumper exists, and ends where a straight line can be drawn directly down to the ground without going through the tire itself.
EDIT: Just because the Product Reference Guide's illustrations may not be accurate, that doesn't mean that Toyota's actual measurements and advertised specifications aren't correct. In fact, they are.
After much deliberation, I decided to go with the Garmin 276C GPS. A decent price from Amazon.com cinched the deal.
However, deciding on a place to mount this beast was even more difficult than deciding which unit to buy. But, as I glanced into my rear-view mirror looking for an expected answer to my dilemma, the solution came to me.
I didn't want to give up my rear-view mirror, so mounting the GPS right above it seemed like the perfect idea.
