Just wanted to let you know that this is the cleanest fj. How did you mount your CB. I saw it is on the radio console but didn't see how it was done.

I don't think I went into too much detail about the radio radio console mounted CB mike, but essentially I left the CB mounted on the back of the center console . . .




Then I hacked an old 4-pin CB microphone I was no longer using and bought a panel mount 4-pin jack from Radio Shack . . .




I snipped the microphone head off of the old mike cable and soldered that end to the panel mount 4-pin jack . . .




The other other end of the cable was routed through my center console to the CB head unit. Now the microphone can be hung up front for easier reach . . .

Time to wake up this dusty old build thread with a :: Baja Rack :: installation.

I did research, compared prices and features of other units, and assessed my specific needs. And, the BajaRack ended up fitting the bill quite nicely.

Truly a quality product.

And, one of the best things about this roof rack was the easy installation and the fantastic instructions. (Other aftermarket manufacturers: Take a hint from these folks on customer support and service. )

Everything that was needed for installation was included. Total installation time was just over an hour.
