Bernd's TiSilver

The build that never ends

My FJ started off being build in Nov of 2006 and I took possession on Dec 13 2006. Vin # 56743

Color
2JR Titanium Silver

Factory Installed
FE- 50 state Emissions
CQ - Convenience Package
UR - Upgrade Package 2

Port Items
EL - Passenger Arm Rest
3T - Roof Rack

First trip for the FJ to the Tillamook Forest. Less then a week old. First mod was the 16" steel rims and snow tires. A must for me due to the amount of times I ski each year.

The first Group run ( Bernd, Tim, and Bryan) and the run that started my mod madness. Two weeks old and I ripped my front mud flaps off. That night I bought Trail Gear Sliders.

The following is a list of what as added to my FJ. When I got it I planned on one mod a month. Well it got a little out of control.

ARMOR

Trail Gear Slide (Diamond Plate added )
Warn Front Bumper
Metal Tech Rear bumper
Bud Built Skids
dbbd1 e locker guard ( Thanks David)
All Pro Trailing Arm Skids

SUSPENTION

Total Chaos UCA
OME Heavy Lift
All Pro - Pro Link Trailing Arm
Front sway bar collars

ELECTRICAL

2- 12 volt plugs
VSC switch
DRL switch
2- KC 130 watt lights
4- IPF 986 lights ( not mounted yet )
2- Pilot Fog Lights
CB w/ Bandi mount
OEM Alarm
ScanGauge II
Dirty Parts Dual Batt. Kit

PERFORMACE

TRD CAI
Breather mod on all breathers
Body Mount Chop ( Thanks Metal Tech)

RECOVERY

Warn 9.5 Ti
100' Winchline Synthetic line
Hi Lift
Receiver shackle
Straps & Tree savers
3/4 inch shackles
Shovel
Ax

INSIDE

Ram Lap Top Mount
GPS ( eTtex, Nuvi 650, GlobalSat GPS mouse)
TRD Sport Pedals
Diamond Plate applique
Wet Okela seat covers (Back seats plastic cover mod)
Tools
Spare Parts
Portable Air Compressor
CO2 Tank
2 Fire Extinguishers
OEM Rubber Mats
Trail Team Shift Knobs

OUTSIDE

BFG 285/70 17
Walker Evans Racing Bead Lock w/3.75" BS
Coleman Safari Basket
Rock Lights

I believe the list is complete. I will slowly edit. I hope I'm done modding soon.

I still want to get

Roof Light Bar ( Baja Style) being Fabricated by Metal Tech ( Hopefully Soon)
MT tires
tube fender armor
Crawl box and gears
Volant Snorkel

Very nicely done. I like the clean install on the light switches. Clean job all around. You are dialed in. You've deserve a day in the dirt, now go have some fun.

Just one more example reminding me that I need a lift. Anybody want to help a college student on a budget?

Try to jump in on a group buy or get a used lift from the forum. I had a spacer lift and switch to an OME. Very happy and should have done the OME first. I would gladly help install, you pay the airfare though.

Re: Bernd's TiSilver

And here I thought I was one of the few who had the best looking front bumper around!! Looks sharp. And, very nice work on your switch panels.

Thanks. Yah I've always liked to work on my vehicles that way when something goes wrong on the trail you have a better chance in knowing how to deal with it.
