This is a great rig. I've gotten a lot of ideas from it

Great write up Wayne! I was drooling over your mods, and now I'm drooling over the time you had to do all of this! Great work, the rig looked great last Sunday.
Time? Time is all relative. But seriously I started working on it last November. I take it all in sections, do a wiring harness here, trim and fab there until I have all the pieces in place and then install. If you look at the post dates over on my build thread on YotaTech you'll get an idea of how long the project(s) were spread out.

Like I posted in my original build thread on YotaTech I used to be able to spend all 3 days of my weekend (work 4x10) modding and rebuilding my Suburban but not even close anymore. Too many responsibilities, I'm lucky if I can put 2 or 3 hours in in a week.

Guess it depends on how badly you want it

Re: KD7NAC_07FJ a.k.a. Clark's Mods

I can attest to the coolness factor of Wayne's mods, and the detail that he puts into the wiring projects.

Some of you have seen the aux. fusebox and twin 12v outlets installed in my rig a few months back, it was Wayne who helped me.
Or I actually helped him, as I did lots of observing

Wayne did most of the work for sure.
The wires were soldered and shrink wrapped, much more professional than I could have done.

Re: Dual battery

I searched fro Blow Torch Fab, but didn't find anything, so my question is:

Where can I get one of these??

. . .
I ordered the Blow Torch Fab Optima battery box and fabricated a plate/bracket to mount it on the wheel well.

Box in place;

Bracket welded to box;

. . .
Thanks.

Re: KD7NAC_07FJ a.k.a. Clark's Mods

It is Blow Torch Fab but they don't have a web site I guess.

I got mine from Expertoffroad.com - BTF Optima Battery Box

Re: KD7NAC_07FJ a.k.a. Clark's Mods

Found it

Blue Torch Fabworks, Inc.

You do a great job with your build. But I think your tray looks a lot like this one. Of course I thought you could get it in Alum. also. So I am often wrong.

Nope you're right on. That is the battery box. I was told from the guy I got the idea from it was Blowtorch but I never looked for either because he said he got it from expertoffroad.com.

It does look like Blue Torch Fab is a British company which might explain the "Blue" Torch instead of Blow Torch. expertoffroad.com is a reseller and it looks like BTF sells it direct for $9 cheaper.

Good bit of research, ya learn something new everyday

Re: KD7NAC_07FJ a.k.a. Clark's Mods

While I'm waiting on some parts for my bumper cover I started working on my In cab winch controls.

Previously posted diagram ~doesn't work with 9.5xp~
