Re: sbechtold's Project FJ Cruiser SAS

The whole project just boggles my mind, but the live camera is just too cool!

When is the DVD coming out?

Oh yeah, didn't you know guys... the Demello shop sings while they work. It isn't enough reason to stop taking your rig there though!

The shop is looking crowded, keep up the good work.

as for ride hieght you can lower it 4-5 inches easy if you change to a spring under set up. Is this something you guys have already looked at? any reasons for going over and not under?
While that set-up is great for Baja style trucks, I'm not a huge fan of it for a rock crawler. One of the biggest problems is the low hanging hangers and hardware. We played with it some more last night, were pretty confident we can make the ride hieght come out where he wants it. If not we may need to french the front hangers as well. We will see

Re: sbechtold's Project FJ Cruiser SAS

Ok, I'm amazed at the flex in the deaver leafs in one of the first pics and I read why Sol wants to do the leafs first. But, my question is for the labor part. If this were to be done with coils and shocks over the leafs, aside from probably having to make the shock mounts thru the wheel wells, is the labor less intensive than doing the leafs?? Or are they both pretty much the same in terms of labor, just each set-up requires focus on different aspects??
