I clearly remember telling you that I wanted it built for 37's, but I would run 35's. No? I'll probably end up with 54" tires before I'm all done with it. There that should help curtail future tire size abuse from YOU.
I have first right of refusal on your current axles when you move to rockwell axles to fit those 54" IROCs.

Now that's funny right there... but very true! I'd even kick down the 37's w/custom DIY beadlocks.

I have never tried to prove it but I use to run my tires really low on my truck, some where around 5psi or less. I could have sworn they spun a little on the rims before I had the bead locks. I usually don't run my tires now below 10psi but maybe next time I go out I can draw a line on my tires and the wheel too see if they move on the wheel. I know there is allot of friction there but they might move a little.

I *KNOW* you're right! I've watched it happen from the side! It wasn't subtle at all. The rim did nearly 180 degrees inside the tire. The tire barely moved. It was a 33" BFG on a 15" (5 lug) rim. It didn't leak any air at that point, but it did leak later on the same trail.
Could explain why my MTs feel out of balanced... could've slipped.

Come to think of it I think I remeber someone else running those nasty thornbird tires and seeing the tire spin on the rim pretty easy.

Uh, try again! I think you've been sniffing welder fumes or you've bumped your head on one too many bumpers. A tip for you, the next time use this before clicking on the submit reply button.

Oh if anyone needs a set of 35x12.5x15 Goodyear MTR's I have a set for sale, they only have 200 miles on them...

I remember that discussion. It was something about 35 looking small on Sol's FJ. 200 miles and selling...

I remember that day. I hate mud... I also remember this FJC as well. Fresh off the truck before PDI. And yes it came with pontoons instead of rock rails.

Re: sbechtold's Project FJ Cruiser SAS

Man, your truck has come a long way from those pictures.

Its really cool to be able to put those shots next to each other and realize that they are the same truck

When I dug out the stock pic I lol and my wife asked what was so funny. I showed her the picture and she said that wasn't my FJC. I will have to post a more current picture of the before and after once I get the new rear axle in place. Speaking of the rear axle, Brown delivered the Diamond housing and some other misc parts yesterday. The rest of the stuff should be showing up next week. Now I just need to find some time to setup everything on the rear.
