Not bad either way you look at it. I thought it would be alot heavier. I wonder what Wyatts runs?
I expected it to be over 5k, but still it's a lot. My last truck was 4500# loaded with gear. Even an 80's era 4Runner SAS'ed weighs in around 4500# with the top on. Wyatt's is probably equal to or slightly less than my FJC. I would guess that all your handy tube work in his rear end would add a fair amount of weight.
I'm surprised that the inchworms only added 40lbs.
The Inchworm replacement is really just a tcase swap with the addition of a reduction box, a few aluminum adapter plates and some shifters. In other words, you remove the existing tcase and replace it with one from a 79-95 Toyota truck, then add the front reduction part of the tcase which is relatively small. Add a few adapter plates to hold it all together. Then replace the stock shifter with a set of triples. The weight difference isn't really all that much as you are really only adding the adapters, a reduction box and 2 shifters.
I believe the stock weight is dry, would love to see someone put a stock FJC on an actual scale. WIll most probably be very different from the listed weight.
Does the 5100 include your butt???
Also 35s on steelies alone would add 150-200 lbs over stock with alloy wheels.

Before I put the spare tire on it I ran it through one of the scales we weigh our trailers with and it was 5280. Add the tire, crawler, and trac bar with mount and it's probably close to 5400 lbs. My axles are heavier than yours and the fiberglass is actually heavier than the thin metal skins that were on there before. It is a heavy truck but alot of the added weight is unsprung so I'm pretty happy about that.
These were the pics we've been waiting for. Very, very nice.
