You never stop with that rattle can, Bill! But the yellow skid looks great! I like to see skids stand out in defiance of whatever obstacles threaten to tear up the underside. That's why I painted mine bright red.
Also, nice job on the alternator repair! That's the way to handle trail wear damage: get your hands in there and sort it out! Your rig is an inspiration.

Taira looks sharp with the matching yellow Budbuilt. I think you are sufficiently equipped for Moab now. Love this pic.

Every time I look at other vendor's skids side by side with my BudBuilts, I'm happier that I have BudBuilt steel on the bottom. And while black or raw metal skids are right for some, I need mine to make a statement too.

well i figure the skid should be black to hide carnage and such but the rest of the truck is striking!
Thug: Why do you feel that it's necessary to hide all carnage?*
Dragon: Everybody has black skids. It's nice to be just a bit out of step.
* footnote * Thugasaur's ride looks as if it rolled off a showroom floor so I must torment him for not running the Mojave Trail with us and getting it really dirty - If I make him really mad, he'll rip my arms off and beat me to death with them so there is a fine line that I need to walk. Thug, I wore a CANADIAN hat on the Mojave run. Doesn't that count for something? I even PAID for the Canadian hat. But that doesn't mean I'll sing "Oh Canada" for you.

Not really a mod, but I painted my BudBuilt skid plate to match the rock rails and truck.
Out of every color scheme I've seen on the FJ's, your blacked-out bumpers, mirrors, door handles and bezel along with your color-matched skids and rails has got to be the sharpest combination of them all!!!!
Yeh, you may have a little more cleaning work ahead of you Bill
Glad you got the Alt working.
Me too. Thanks bro.

I concur with you and L8Apex. This has grown on me and it will stay Sun Fusion.

I really appreciate that, Steve. I'm sorry I never got the chance to meet you in Ouray, but I look forward to running a trail with you next year.
