These can be made for less than 35$ for the set and with a little coating are totaly rust proof as well. I used automotive black touch up paint on the tips where the steel was cut and the factory bolts.
Yea... 9" subs in the doors!!! It does not get any better than not needed to have a sub in the back!! Ohh and you could fit a 10" with out any issues at all, just a little cutting, but 8" subs would have fit easy to.. Ohh and you have about 5" of depth to work with too!
And I if the Dynamat has an R value it works cause the AC make the whole cabin friggin cold and keeps it cold on these 100 degree days, more so than I remember before the sound mat.
so just the subs in the doors? how does it sound? I have some CDT 6x9 subs that I want to put in the doors with no subs in the back. Not sure though as I never heard door mounted subs. Love how you mounted your front stage dash speakers. Great post!

I would like to add a ported 10 or 12 in the back that would be removable just so I have some more kick as the door subs don't get down and dirty as a true sub in a purpose built enclosure would. But Ill tell ya, I don't need too much!
