Thanks, I think Anita and I won't get in until Wed morning, we are leaving for Ouray on Tuesday early and stopping in Santa Fe, NM for the night and then driving in to Ouray in the Morning Wed. Thanks for the offer, maybe we can all get together another night.
That will work with us.

Re: TennesseeSquire's TRD Buildup

Terry, you said earlier in this thread that you have 33's. Why did you not go with 35's? Do 33's require bodymount chop?

I really didn't see the need in 35's when 33's would do fine. I have not been on any trail that I had wished that I had bigger tires.

Then you have all the other issues that have been brought up in other post. If I go with 35's do I re-gear or not? Are the bigger tires are putting a strain on the truck?

I have rode & drove other FJ's with 3" & 6" lifts with 35's and they are slower from the take off and they didn't get the gas mileage that I get (not that I get outstanding gas mileage ).

I do not have a bodymount chop, I only get a rub when I turn the wheel to the left all the way. If I didn't have the spidetrax, I wouldn't have that rub.

Re: TennesseeSquire's TRD Buildup

This is such a great build. Sorry it this has been asked but what made you decide to bump from the Rough Country 3'' to the 6''?

OOO I just caught it in the write up. I start out reading but then end up looking at pictures. Can you ask Rough Country to let me try a 6'' lift too.

Re: TennesseeSquire's TRD Buildup

While I finally have my latest mod on, They were ordered back in February, but on a US back order. I was to the point that I thought they would never arrive, but I received a call from James at Discount Tire in Franklin, Tn. All 5 would be here August 8th, well as most of you know that's the day we left for Moab and The Summit. Time was already tight that day, so I told James that I would pick them up when we got back home.

Today was the day to have my new KMC Enduro Blacks put on
