That's what mirrors are for. And the back up sensor, to avoid running over kids. Personally, I think that if they are smart enough to stand behind a vehicle backing up, then it is just Darwinism at its finest. Even my dog (who is pretty dopey) knows to get out of the way.

You might want to watch those nerf bars (predator steps...) if/when you go off roading. They are not going to "slide" off of rocks like rock rails are and will probably cause you to get hung up more than anything else.
