The analogy doesn't hold up.
MOST corporations don't keep their employees 'in the office' for a year
or more at a time, away from family, friends, and the other things which
keep one sane. MOST corporations let their employees go home after
they finish their shift. So long as we're talking about MOST corporations...

In practice, there probably should be two networks, with tactical and
personal traffic entirely segregated and firewalled off from one another.
Both networks, however, should have the best antivirus screening, etc.,
that money can buy. Which is really very good.
