Thank you Ollie!! I don't know if I can be back by Friday afternoon, but if there is any chance of this happening, I will be contacting you and Froggo' for Otay, Part Deux! If friday does not happen, would you be interested in a Saturday ride, maybe another trail???

I was going to join the Clegghorn ride Saturday 24, but it looks like I may have to be back in San Diego because of work. I am not sure yet. I'll stay in touch either way.
Hey Kal, it's looking sweet man. How do those Sway-Aways ride? I like the rims tires too.

I'm going to take my family out to Otay on Saturday so I can't make Coyote after all =(. Coyote Canyon is a great trail. It looks like you have some great options for runs this weekend. Cleghorn is a great trail and is a must do. Be careful if you do all of the side trails. Some can be wicked. Jsnap has been before so going with him would be a good thing. I wouldn't go do cleghorn without somebody that has been there.

Re: Komombo's Sandstorm

Looking good. Blacked out is the way to go on a Sandstorm. Looking forward to your new bumper. That's a good choice I think.

Is it official...are you the first modded Sandstorm on record here? I think so. Congratulations. Mod fever is a fun affliction.

Keep it up, and get it dirty soon.

Thanks for your kind words, but it hurts to learn you will not make Coyote...boohooo. I won't be able to do Clegghorn because I opted out already when I heard about Coyote from Ollie. I'll call him now to check on plans. Anyways, have fun with family on Otay Mountain.

Am I??? That's hard to believe. But if I am indeed, I'll be very stoked. Thanks for making the comment, it feels awesome.

Re: Komombo's Sandstorm

Advancing with the mods:

I have just added the Demello Bumper and Rock Sliders last week. Then last night, bolted the Bud Built skids to the underbelly. Some photos:

Before the Bud Builts...

After the Bud Builts (photo taken with flash):

Without flash...

Les Bud Builts are so, so, "je ne sais quoi!"

Next pics will be from a trail somewhere...itching to go out!

Thanks for looking. NOTE: Bud Built skids were powder coated with a chosen color called "brown red", not the typical apple red color. They look fantastic!! Bud was awesome to work with. Demello bumper looks better than I could have ever imagined...thanks Jason for this piece of art, really!.
K.

Is that a "real" landcruiser in the background?

Yes, it belonged to a co-worker who traded it in last week. She had to replace her windshield a month ago, and the guys that did it told her she had serious rust on the edge of her roof where the windshield sits. She freaked out and traded in for a Honda SUV (the smallish kind). She also said she got sick of paying so much for gas (long commute) with her LC.
