Hermes: Bones Ti Silver build

I named my FJ Hermes the Greek god of safe travel, road travelers, orators and wit, athletics and... thieves (hehe no reason for that part but I still like it) see there have been multiple times that while driving something has happened where if I was in my old car and not the FJ I would have died, not been able to turn ect... so I feel the name is very appropriate.

Im not gonna post up any stock pics, we've all seen it and owned it so here we go

Hermes today:

SO I RAN OUT OF ROOM IN THIS POST...SEE POST 18 FOR MORE!!

LIGHTING
I really dont know why but I love trucks with tons of lights on em so Im gonna keep slappin em on until I run out of room!!

2 55Watt fog lights on the grille gaurd

pic of all the lights running (these are not the highest watt lights I have just havent switched em out yet)

COSMETIC
20% tint on the front windows made to match the back

blacked out door handles, mirrors, bezel, rims and interior

blue is my favorite color so blue Toyota

got bored and blued up the engine cover

wade wind deflectors

FJ cubby cover

STERIO AND NAV
Sirius Sat radio w FJ specific mount, Garmin Nuvi 200w w FJ specific mount, both hardwired so its a nice clean look, also the radar detector is hard wired

2 Rock Fos 12" subs and amp w/ kill switch for the amp

PROTECTION
OEM rock rails (in the mail off ebay)

Tail light guards (these were my first mod)

MISC

small but functional and well equipped tool box (now hard-mounted)

and a couple stickers to jack up the HP a bit

Im currently working on my own "m-pac" style setup for the back door for my recovery gear, ax shovel ect.

mods to come:
18" KMC Rockstars w some serious AT meat

Ya the Line-X is really cool huh?

I don't know how much wheeling you do in groups, but may I suggest moving the CB Radio to the top of your mods list? That was one of the first things we did and it is the best thing you can have out on the trail with you aside from water and a first aid kit!!

Pics! Pics! Pics! Are you trying to load them here in the thread or in the gallery?

Welcome to our disease!! Its good that you have a wishlist for your FJ. A new club was started here in IL and WI and around too. Check out the TOGA's at TOGA Runs for 2008! . Looking forward to wheeling with you.

Bone your in the right place. There are a lot of us who get off road with our FJ's. we have a good group of people in and around Chicago. Camel gave you a good link to find out about stuff we are doing this year. Some trail rides are close others are a bit farther away. Its always a good time when we get together. Hope to wheel with you soon!

Re: Bone3412's TiSilver FJC in progress

So while the flashlight mount may be one of the easiest mods Ive ever done on a car I have to say its one of my favorites. I dont know why I just like it. Oh and I have a Daystar 2.5/1.5 in lift on the way but Im probably not gonna install it until I can afford some new rubber to go w it.

Thumbs up Re: Bone3412's TiSilver FJC in progress

Nice looking TI Bone. I wish my tools were as neatly stashed as yours. Have fun modding it out.

Re: Bone3412's TiSilver FJC in progress

I got the tool box at Meijer, similar to a super walmat, its shopforce brand, nothing amazing but they get the job done. it was like 20bucks and its got a lil of everything so Im covered in a majority of situations, I use it regularly especially with my stereo stuff and just lil tinkering
