Ya know, it will be all built up heavy duty after that, so you might want some more horsepower... and just to keep it in the family and make it interesting, I say swap in the V-8 from the Lexus IS-F.

You'll never be finished. Just like Sol and myself, you'll be working on that thing until it has a big red for sale sign in it.
By the way, I went to Currie the other day and talked to Dave and he showed me some interestings points about your FJ in particular, and all other FJ's in general. I think Jason noticed this too at some point but I don't remember. Call me and I'll share. Only Sols FJ is not affected by this. There are positives to having a leaf sprung rear end.
Question for everybody then. What kind of travel do you think I can get with the leafs? I would shoot for 17"-18" with 62's. Wondering if that will be a noticeable difference from the 4-link assuming I can get the 22" that Dylan got.

18" easy with 62" Deavers.
If you set them up so that you get some negative arc at bump you can get 20"+/-. This will cause them to wear out faster though. But that is about were I would want my travel numbers (18"-20") at if I was doing what you are. Thats close to what Dylan and Kreg had.
18 will be very nice and will handle great once you get some by-pass tuned in the back.

Easy 18in, that’s going 1to 1 with a short shackle I'm not sure what the max is but we could easily pump a little more out with a creative leaf shackle.

I haven't measured mine but I'm guessing it's a good percentage over 18". Jason would probably know better since he was there when deaver came to the shop to do the measurements on the truck. I wanted to go with links in the rear at some point but I'm gonna stick with my leafs back there.
