FJShocK Sandstorm Build and Fun

Well, I've only had my FJ for just over a month now and I love it.

Build wise, I probably won't go really aggressive right now because this vehicle has to double as a baby mover. That said, I couldn't help but start with some mild yet effective upgrades.

Here is the FJ the day I got it:

First mod I did was the Trail Gear Sliders. I gripped the top of them and they are also nice as steps. From there I grabbed a factory roof rack and tow hitch.

After that I added some mud!

From there I got rid of the stock tires and added some Nitto Terra Grapplers. I stuck with the stock size of 265/70/17 as I do not want to chop anything right now.

Testing things out a bit...

I just got some OME 883 coils for the front but have not installed them yet. I'll post some before and after pics when I do.

Great start, FKShock!! I'm always eager to see more build-ups on the Sandstorms.

Your off to a good start! However, once the mods start it never ends.

Re: FJShocK Sandstorm Build and Fun

Thanks!

Just added the 883's up front.

I'm considering painting the wheels, but I'll have to think that over a bit. Here is a photoshop before and after...

Just added the 883's up front.

Just a quick question: Are you still using the stock struts up front? The 883's look GREAT!
