Homedad's loop mod to the passenger headrest inspired me to add my own. I have 2 little ones (5 and 7) and they have a hard time getting into the FJ. They like the Trailgear sliders, but they usually need a little boost too to get in.

I had quite a few ID tags from Trail team events. They are light and won't scratch. They are not super strong, but my kids are only 50lbs so these will work.

I clipped off the metal end where the ID attaches to just looped them around the headrest. Simple yet effective. It even says "FJ Cruiser"!

Looked like you guys had a blast. Good thing we hit Lytle yesterday or I would be very jealous now.

Re: Fjamming's "Genie"

Did a quick spurt of the moment run of the north side of San Bernardino Mountain. The plan was to run Luna Mountain Trail and White Mountain Trail. Turns out Luna was a myth (I'm sticking by that ). Ended up exploring Coxy trail instead. The view on both trail were spectacular. The trails run west to east. The north side is Lucern Valley and the south side is Big Bear. Weather was in the 60s. Coxy was a dirt road with mud puddles. White Mountain Trail is suppose to be moderate, but the recent storm had made the journey a little more difficult. It's some what remote and looked like it hadn't been traveled on much. It was rocky, narrow, and full of loose rocks. We came upon a down tree and it had to be removed. Toward the top, it was snowy and I got sideways on a narrow trail. I had to winch myself using a chain and tree saver and a big boulder. Winch forward and back down through the snow and ice. A little dicey there. Shared a late lunch with SoCalOCFJ and CADavebert at Horse Springs Campground. Took 4n16 south towards Fawnskin. The trail toward Fawnskin was closed so we had had to detour toward Holcomb. We did quite a bit of traveling in the dark. Through mud, water, snow, and ice. The Lightforce lights were fantastic. They proved themselves again on the highway when visibility was about 15-20 ft in the fog/cloud. The LTBs were great on the rocks, but not so good in the snow. Maybe I need to sipe them. It was a great trip with no carnage and plenty of memories. Here are the pictures.

The picture is kind of deceiving. The tire is on the steep ledge. I could barely walk around it.

SoCalOC's pic of Genie from the other side-a better look of the drop off.

CADavebert blasting through the mud puddle.

Lunch @ Horse Springs Campground.

I'll visit White Mountain Trail again when the weather warms up. Very fun trail.

Thanks Tim. It was fun. I like exploring new areas. There's so much that I haven't seen!

Re: Fjamming's "Genie"

Oops, forgot to mention, the full report is here: San Bernardino Exploration

I didn't post about a run for this as this was truly last min. I also didn't know who were up for this type of run. It was a exploration with no specific destination so the going was slow and casual. I only asked a few folks last min if they would be interested. I kind of took the opportunity to scope out the area to see which trails we may want to adopt.

Doug, we missed you out there! Did you leave the mountain late? We left Big Bear around 6pm and it was very foggy.
