Good Times T! Genie done well! Winching yourself with the boulder was very impressive.
Thanks Dave. The winch was installed 9 months ago and I've never had to use it, but in the last 2 weeks, I've already used it twice!

Re: Fjamming's "Genie"

I had to the great opportunity to check out Claw Hammer Trail in Johnson Valley. All Pro put up a great event and really showed the potential of FJs. The drivers were very skilled and the spotters were terrific. I learned quite a bit as a spectator of the event. Spotting takes tremendous skill. There are so many subtle things that they do that can make or break your confidence. Body language, gestures, verbal communication, and knowing where to stack a rock or remove one are skills that can't be taught by books. Johnson Valley is a very dry area but it's quite beautiful. The terrain consists of sand and rocks-big rocks!

Took some pictures of the area. I didn't do too much wheeling, but did some fun sand runs.

Airing down.

The entrance to Claw has a big sand dune. Constant desert wind has shaped the dunes with beautiful waves.

At the trailhead. Genie watches the action from a ledge.

By the dry lake. At the end of the event, wind was gusting and huge clouds of sand swallows all that is in it's way.

Scenes on Boone Road.

JV OHV is in danger of being absorbed by Marines. Please take a look at this thread on how we can do our part to preserve it.

Re: Fjamming's "Genie"

Nice pics of JV. I was there and would have introduced myself but I was experiencing a combination of shock & awe with the amazing skill of the drivers, spotters and the FJ's capabilities while they were hammering The Claw at the same time I was trying to keep my two kids from serious injury. After meeting and talking to MuddyGrrl back at our vehicles on our way out, she said you were there and then it all clicked. I think I might have scared your daughter when I said hello. My wife, and two kids and I were just grabbing a quick bite and she was staring so intently just a few feet away and so I thought I'd say hello, she instantly turned and ran to mommy to hide behind. lol I'll try and say hello to you at the next event and maybe make amends with your daughter. Now that I have an FJ, I plan to go wheelin whenever I can so I'm sure we'll hook up soon.

Thanks for the compliment on the pictures. I know what you mean about the event. That was such a fun event. Had some nice chats with Maureen, she's so fun to talk to. I wish I had gotten a chance meet you. My wife was telling me about a TT but I never got to see it. My kids had a blast. I wish I got to talk to you! See you at the Meet and Greet on 4/19 perhaps?

Re: Fjamming's "Genie"

Thanks Sharon. I'm heading back to that area in the near future. There's so much to explore.

TTORA?
Here it is: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...h-28-30th.html

There will be a mix of trails so it wouldn't be all hard metal scraping. Should be a lot of fun.
