Maui! I love Maui. There's so much to do there. You should hook up with some FJ friends while you're there (with the honey's concurrance of course. ). If you really want a badge and can't earn it, you can have mine . I have only one and it's still in wrappers. I just have no place for it-yet. Lights kind of covers the grill .

If you're interested in the LTBs maybe we can talk. I have 2 sets of mud terrains now and I need get rid of one set. Both are 16 size. I no longer have my stockers .
Im going to rent a Jeep in Maui & Hilo 2nd week.I got forum member "Largos" to show me and Jenn the big island 4x4 style.Another reason why Fj peeps are awesome.i cant wait to wheel the hell out of the wrangler.LOL.Geo is also going to my wedding got him also to rent a 4x4.Call me later on tonight re:the tires.I'll PM you my cell #.

I got your PM. Heh, be so fun to meet other folks! Get your snorkel gears in order, Maui is fantastic. The bike ride down Haleakela is fun. The helicopter ride (Blue Hawaiian) to Hana is also a must do. Oh, you need to take a ride out to Molokini. Some great snorkel/scuba fun there as well.

I just don't know how I missed this build thread. Seams that you and I were on the same train of thought through the modding process. Good stuff!

Thanks . You have a great thread going and some very nice pictures. I can't wait to see more. The goal this year is to mod less and wheel more. Some of the mods planned are going to be more custom and for those I don't have a time line. In the process of modding, I sold my Aprilia Futura. I know you're a fellow rider and owner of a priller so there that one more connection! I miss it badly.

Re: Fjamming's "Genie"

Just gone through the 2nd tank of gas on the Goodyear MT/Rs (305X70X16 on Wheelers Off Road wheels). The last tank lasted 294 (corrected) miles before the light came on. I was skeptical about the mileage since I've averaged 250-260 on the Super Swamper LTBs (34X10.5X16 on Tacoma rims), which are narrower (but taller). I change the rear diff fluid to Amsoil and drove a little more on street then the last tank. I got 296 miles (corrected) on this latest tank. I guess the numbers are legitimate and consistent. For a MT, I think those are great numbers.

In regards to the Amsoil gear lube, I can't honest say that I feel a difference. I'll know in another 10k I guess.

I don't know guys. I did start to turn off the engine at lights that I know will last a while. Avoiding lef turns with lights, easy on the throttle, and windows up. Really would say I'm trying to get the best mileage, but I just don't have the need to hear the engine roar with the FJ. It's been like that since day one. No need to make this piggy fly . I bet if I really try, I can get 310 or so before the light come on. What kind of engine oil are you guys using anyway?
