That swing out looks great, I think your right about the weight especialy about trying to open it when on a angle.

Terry from AP is doing the write up on the install. I'm going to give a rough description of the installation process, but the official write up is up to All Pro. I don't want to mislead anyone.
The entire process took AP about 1 hour and 45 min. They had a few people helping, but they also were taking pictures and notes at the same time. It'll probably go much faster after a few more installs.
First, the swingout is placed over the rear bumper for some measurements. With a marker, mark the points where holes need to be drilled.
Use a center punch to mark the holes.
Drill pilot holes.
An access hole needs to drilled on the inner portion of the bumper so you can thread the nuts on. A 2.5" or 3" hole would work well. We used a 2.5", but 3" would be easier. I can remember the exact measurement, but I think it was 2" and 2.5" from the edge. Once you look at the bumper and the holes it should be pretty self explanatory. Make sure the hole is filed down and painted. You wouldn't want to cut your finger while thread the nuts on.

Excellent Tony, the install looks pretty straight forward (not something I would attempt myself however).
Thanks again.
I just wondering if the can holders should be located a little more inboard as to not block the rear lights as much (might just be the angle of the photo though).

There's probably a little more room for that. One thing to consider is the upper bar. If the bottom plate is located more inboard, there's a chance that when the can moves (while vehicle is moving) it can come in contact against the bar. I think it can be done if the bar is bent a little differently.

I would like to thank the following companies for working with me on Wikid
Total Vision Products

Thanks Don. This will allow me to put off getting a roof rack a bit longer. I also like the fact that it comes off easily with removal of a snap ring. I won't be lugging this around unless I need it.
