OMG! That's great! I'm drooling big time here! Are you going to pad the cage inside? Man, go wheel that thing and post pics please. It's painful seeing it so ready to get dirty but on pavement still!

Yeah those pictures are totally nuts. Sol I think you should copy these last couple posts and make a "Tube doors" thread in the 4X4 section about these alone. Just outrageous. Everyone's gotta see this.

Tube doors are looking sweet!!!....have you had the opportunity to drive it with the tube doors?(ie down the road/on a trail yet)...I was wondering how it felt with the open c0ckpit flying down the road.
No not yet, but soon. Going to get the exhaust system redone and stick some mirrors on the doors, then I'll drive it.

Yes I'm watching, I love the doors. I'm not a fan of more dust in the cab but those are Ubber COOL!

The more I see your FJC the more I want to buy anther FJ and do the swap, I just need to find that winning lotto ticket.
Does this mean you would prefer full doors in June on the Rubicon? As for the swap, I say find a nice totalled FJC and go for it! Thanks again for building a great setup. Just amazing!

What do you mean pavement? That would be a step up IMO as it's still on the trailer. Yes, I will be applying some sort of padding to the cage. As for wheeling, I'm working my way towards completion for Rubithon in June.

The cage, traction bar and tube doors took a total of 3 weeks to complete.

Two questions:

Is there an instrument cluster on the dash that's now obscured by the crossbar?

Are there laws that affect the management of the passenger side airbag?

.
Does not matter to me, I will roll either way. When I say roll I mean forward not over If I did do one I would look for a Savage title FJC. Because the first thing to go would be the roof.

Wow! Incredible. You have to take on all the Rubicon has to offer and take pics and video to share with us. Great FJC.

The cross bar does not obstruct the instrument cluster. It may slightly obstruct the clinometer for those that are vertically challenged. Not an issue for me at 6'3". As for the bag, to the best of my knowledge no.

Re: Project SAC'D FJC - Phase II

I wondered when someone was going to take the doors off. It looks great, nice work! Does leaving the rear suicide doors in help with the overall stability of the roof and body or does your internal cage handle all of that? Just curious if removing the rear doors was possible to.
