I just want to say that I really like your rig. I've only recently begun looking at it (after you posted the swing-out tire carrier) and I must say I previously had missed something good here.

After drooling around your FJ at the summit. I have to say you have got the baddest of the bad in FJ's Nothing even came close to what I saw with yours. Great job. It was also really nice to meet you
thanks

Thanks Don! It was a pleasure to meet you and everyone else at the Summit.
Installed my Howe Performance hydraulic assist steering a couple of weeks ago. Spent last week in Tahoe and got a chance to test it out on the Rubicon. One finger steering in the rocks with the locker on is amazing!
The Howe system consist of a high pressure (1450 psi) power steering pump, a rebuilt IFS steering box that Howe goes through and adds internal stops to match your steering throw, a high capacity replacement fluid reservoir with a removable filter, a power steering cooler, a hydraulic steering ram that is matched to your steering box throw and a bunch of aeroquip hose and reusable fittings. Howe definitely builds quality products and they were great to work with on my setup.
I mounted the reservoir in the stock location using a new bracket.
I mounted the cooler to the shock tower.
Howe's high pressure TC pumped bolted right up to the stock mounting location. I used the stock Toyota pulley on the TC pump.
IFS steering pump that I sent to Howe and they ported, valved, rebuilt and added steering stops.
Ram mount. Don at FC built the mount for me out of 1.75" dom tube and bent 1/4" plate on the bottom to add some strength.
I see you've dragged the pumpkin a little as well.

I tried to push some rather large rocks out of my way. Rustoleum flat black is my friend. The steering is amazing. Jeff Howe definitely knows steering.
