Thumbs up Re: El Froggo (Frogeye's FJ Buildup)

I'm a little slow at updating my build thread but better late then never right.

Summit 08 was a great success and I was stoked with some good fortune at the raffle. I hit big with a $500.00 American Express Cash Card, a killer First Aid kit thanks to Dan and Kathy, and a set of All Pro Spindle Gussets. But it gets better. MTBCOACH who already had the new Demello Rear Bumper WON it at the raffle! One of my informants told me this info and I sprung over to introduce myself (oh please coach let's make a deal I'm thinking) and hit Coach with my offer. I was so stoked when he traded my AE card for his bumper. You are awesome coach, and so is the Demello Rear Bumper!

This bumper is so sexy, stealthy, and strong. It has a great area to walk around the entire bumper for roof access, built in holes for the backup sensors, and it has built in light pods and recovery points. It has a nice flat area right in the middle of the bumper on the top part for setting things down. My dogs are stoked with it. The flat area makes it a lot easier for them to jump on and into the rig. I just plane love the bumper and wanted to thank Coach and Jason at Demello for the awesome bumper.

I was able to slam it more then once on the Kokopelli trip and locally in San Diego. This bumper doesn't budge. Rocks explode beneath all of it's rock taming glory.

Gorgeous rear bumper Frog! Jeff likes it too.
BTW, I ended up painting the lower rear door sill satin black so you won't see the silver part under the rear door.

TY, I need to touch that area up, you are the 2nd person to suggest that. Yo T, one of our mutual friends ( JESHUA ) destroyed one of my rear proximity sensors while helping me install the bumper at the campground in Ouray. He pulled a super monkey and ripped the sucker out. I was wondering if the system will still work with only one of them plugged in. Any idea?

Can you solder the wires back on? I think it should still work with just one sonar sensor.

This is a great line!

Oh, and now that you have the awesome Demello bumper, who needs the sensors? You tame rocks!

When I moved the sensors to my Warn bumper and tested them The system made a continuous beeping sound when put into reverse. I checked and cleaned the connectors one at a time and discovered that the passenger side had some dirty contacts. Cleaning fixed the problem and to confirm this I unplugged one sensor and retested with same result. It appears that the backup sensor system does a self check and won't work without 2 good sensors plugged in.
