I love the way sandstorms look when they are blacked out. I think they look better than the trail teams.

You take off the center caps and on the inside there are 2 tabs that hold the emblems on. Push both tabs in and the emblems should come loose. (Note: I used the plastic handles on my wire cutters to push the tabs without marking them up.) I used 220 grit sand paper to sand the caps down and shot 4 coats of Krylon's finest flat black. After drying, I popped the emblems back in and installed the freshly painted center caps.
