Re: Former Marine's Gung-Ho Build

so why did you get rid of the RA bumper after you had it? Do you still have it?

Thank you sir. That mean a lot, especially coming from you!

Looks great! I really love that basket. Do you think the All-Pro 4-hole Airdam would work with that basket?
I have no idea what the All-Pro looks like, dimensions, etc. The front of the basket is kind of "boat" shaped (see picture). There is wind noise BUT, after putting the four PIAAs on top, the noise disappeared. I suspect the lights disrupt the wind-flow enough to break up the harmonics.

New to the forum and this is my first post. What a great rig you have there. Great mods and accessories! I just picked up an 08 TT FJ myself about 2 months ago and I can not wait to start to "play" with it. Great job on yours though

Thanks for the comments. They really are great rigs. There is so much to do and this Forum is the place to learn it all. Some great builds and fantastic ideas. Poke around and you'll find everything you need or a least a willing soul to help.

Welcome and thanks again for the comments.

Ooh-RAH, Marine! Lookin' good ...

Now, all you need is a nice, big USMC decal ...

Enjoy your FJC!

I am so disgusted with those ass holes at RA that I can't stand to run their bumper. It's that easy. I had more than my share of issues (see mulitple threads for common themes) and some install questions/issues. Again, they were useless. Liars and theives.

Sold the bumper, moved onto Fab Fours.

Re: Former Marine's Gung-Ho Build

How hard was it wiring up those lights to the roof rack? Was it easy to conceal all the wires?

Yes, lifted the leg of the rack, made a hole below the foot. Used a water tight electrical fixture, no problem. Lots of good info on this Forum.

I hope so. And they can count on me to help their demise.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!

Re: Former Marine's Gung-Ho Build

Nice build now that you have actually owned two o what I consider to be the better built bumpers.

What do you think of FAb Fours construction and finish?
