Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

Yep, Its seen plenty of dirt, mud. I was going to pick up a set of BFG AT's because of my past history with them but after seeing your Nitto Terra Grapplers, I got those instead. Great tires. Thanks

Oddly enough I had just washed and detailed it. The other FJ there that day was literally brand new.

yeah the nittos are the best AT out there for the money...for the ruggedness...and for a daily driver in my opinion.

Gotta love Cullowhee, eh?

You build is great and I really enjoyed wheeling with you at North vs. South! Hope the next time we can stay a little drier and a little warmer!

Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

Thank you.....I did the Scuba Mod today. Will take pics tomorrow and post up. Any scuba stickers left?

Also added the OME shocks that were suppose to come with my lift a few months ago but were skipped for financial reasons. All set now...

Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

Well, we had a HAMOM at the Lowcountry Land Cruisers (chapter of Upstate Cruisers, TLCA) yesterday and did a couple more things....

First on list was the ScubaMod....so bought my hose, my T-fitting, hose clamps, zip ties and the Camry fuel adapter.

Pretty straight forward with a buddy feeding the line down from the gas filler drain area behind rear mud flap and wheel well cover. Ran it over the stuff in there....inserted T-connector where e-Locker vent was mounted. Could not find 1/4x1/4x1/8 so got a 1/4 all the way around. Tight fit but with hose clamp around it should be okay. Will look for correct one and change out....as I might try and get a brass one as the plastic does not appear too durable. Vented rear differential and e-locker up to gas fill area. Tried to feel the tranny vent tube but no luck. Will try again but skids did not help either. I will get more tube and have it ready in case I can get on a lift somewhere for a bit.

Second upgrade was shocks. When I bought my ToyTec OME 3" lift I decided to not get the shocks to save some money....well finally got them so my oem 4x4 shocks are up for grabs if any Pre-Runner FJs need them. I have them in FS section and also 4x2 section. Did not take pics as nothing changed really. Top nut on rear shocks is a little tight to get to...had to put channel locks around top of shock to hold from turning while it was loosened. The Snap-On box and opened end wrenches with the ratchet action are THE BOMB. Plus we found air compressor and tools available so helped with wheel removal quite a bit as much easier to replace with wheels off. Loosened top hardware first...then knocked off bottom of stock shocks with rubber mallet. Assembled OME shocks...inserted bushing....put top on first. Helps to have four hands..two to hold shock up and two to put nylon nut on top of post...not much room on threads to get it started. Front was done by tire shop that had a strut compressor...did not want any accidents. GOOD TO GO now.

I have a custom DEMELLO front bumper with 3 hoops on order. I also have Lucrum Swing-Out Tire Carrier on order. Both should be here around early December. Now to work some extra overtime so I can do the winch at same time without doing front bumper twice LOL

Sitting in batters box is the high flow oil drain valve...waiting for next oil change to install.
