Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

Okay....here are the new badges made by FJOEL for our venerable rides. I chose the FJ 120....I am sure it was not an original thought on my part those months ago....but nonetheless I feel it fits appropriately. The frame we have is the PRADO frame (only sold in Europe) and is the Land Cruiser 120. So I thought it fitting to call it the FJ 120....the FJ is reference to its throwback looks and intent to be a modern version of the FJ40....and the 120 is in relation to the frame our rigs are built upon. Hence the name I chose...

Now the battery hold down clamp

Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

Well two weeks ago Jason asked me to approve the hoops before final welding and powdercoating...as I wanted some angle on them rather than his regular style....

Then off to powder coat and tracking number he sent confirmed it would be delivered on 29 December 2008. Then midday on 24 December the UPS truck is out front and blowing its horn...it was my bumper.

Installed the winch itself into bumper yesterday...wasted all day today trying to figure out how to mount the control box of the Titan 12,000 winch. A few guys have Demello bumpers or Expedition One and have mounted the box inside bumper so hopefully will get a reply soon. Hoping I wont have to fab something...and I have been overlooking the obvious. Jason pre drills a side plate with four holes that I assume are for the Warn box as he builds them for the Warn M8000. Getting those four holes to work is my issue. Found one guy with exact same bumper and winch...and his is mounted and working....so hopefully he wont make me wait for the secret handshake.
So she waits.....

Thats a fine looking bumper.

Once you solve the Rubiks Cube you'll be alright.

Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

yep the box where winch sits is all 1/4" steel as are mounting points. Just the exterior portions are the 1/8".

Yep...after I figure out the rubiks...I will be happier than a pig in (mud).....LOL Will be sure to post a detailed mounting instructions for anyone else in future so they dont have this frustration.
