Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

1- lights in Demello bumper.
Ran OEM Aux switch and harnesses all the way to bumper. Only works on HIGH beam but adding some IPF lights inside main hoop and they will be hooked up to OEM switch but bypass harness so I can use them anytime.
Parts for Aux Light install of ACRO (DEMELLO) lights using OEM parts with no or few modifications.
Parts are PT297-35070-AS (Aux Switch), PT297-35070-SH (Switch Harness), PT297-35070-LH (Lamp Harness), 90080-87026 (Aux Relay). If you use the relay ending in xxxxx-xxxxx-016 it is for Fog Lights, not Aux…it may work but not tried it.

You will also need two colors of 16g wire, 2 T-Tap 18-24g (red) connectors(got mine for free from my dealer), 2 Female Bullet Connectors 16g, and 4 16g splice connectors and a 15 amp fuse.

Remove plug from console face next to Rear Locker switch. Also pull out Rear Locker switch while at it. Then remove panel under steering column, drivers kick plate and door sill as mentioned in directions on SPARKS TOYOTA website.

You do NOT need to remove your center console from around tranny hump, shifter, brake lever, etc. I really did not want to drop skid plates and unbolt my Tuffy from body since I used the HIGH SECURITY install. So figured I would try without dismantling and it worked fine.
Take SWITCH HARNESS (SH) and plug into proper spot per directions on block behind kickplate…connect ground being careful not to drop bolt holding other ground connections already into body gap. I put masking tape over hole but if you have a magnet nearby you can try it without. Once connected good behind kickplate then take the two red T-Tap connectors.
Take one and crimp it onto Green wire (+) and put the other on the White with Green Trace wire (-) coming from back of the REAR LOCKER or ATRAC switches. Pull the Aux SH wires through hole you plan on using for your new switch completely. Grab the Purple colored wire (+) and carefully put back into hole and around and through to back of wires you just tapped into…then plug it into the Green wire as both are POWER (+) leads. Then take the Grey colored wire (-) and do same thing to the White with Green Trace wire for the grounds (-). I would leave them out to be sure your taps made good contact.

Then look on engine bay on driver fender well and find end of wire harness as in Sparks Directions…grey end but will have black plug that keeps mud and dirt off the connections. Unplug the plug, and plug in the LAMP HARNESS (LH) to one end. Run other part of LH behind battery and through holes behind headlamp and then string remaining harness to each side as provided.

Take your wire cutters and cut off ends of each lamp harness fitting, unless of course your HELLA lamps have the right connector. My ACRO lights did not from Demello so snip snip. Use four splicers above to connect a new length of wire to each ind of the harness being careful to use different colors for power and ground or put a loop in end of power lead as I did since I only bought one color of wire.

Take bullet connectors and crimp onto ends of new wire…then plug into male bullets already on end of ACRO lights from Demello. Zip all wire in place loosely.
Go to fuse panel in engine bay…install relay from above into third from bottom (second LIVE spot) as shown in SPARKS DIRECTIONS above, then take 15amp fuse from top right area of box which is a spare if you did not buy one already. Plug it in spot as designated for AUX Lights in directions on left side.
Turn Key to IGNITION, turn on headlamps, then HIGH BEAMS, then AUX SWITCH. Switch lamp should illuminate to show it is ON….and AUX LIGHTS should be working. Turn headlights to LOWBEAM and AUX lights should extinquish and lamp on AUX SWITCH should go out as well. If everything works then button it all up, tighten all zip ties…..pat yourself on back.

Re: Brock's "BRICK HOUSE" build....

2- Blacked out body panels
When you remove OEM Bumper and put on the DEMELLO it opens up your clearance and fender well but you will notice the body panels stick below bumper now and are no longer covered by the black plastic inner liner unless you left it alone and it is hanging down. I noticed it but as driver and walking around it was easy to ignore. Down at car level when pulling up in wifes car I noticed how much they stuck out like a sore thumb from behind bumper as they are color of FJ (BRICK)...so put some rattle can Rustoleum on them for good measure. Now they blend better with wheel well....and are barely noticeable unless you know what to look for.
If you dont know what I am talking about they are directly under the turn signal and below the end of Demello bumper slightly below level with the Acro lights.
