Eagle Scout's BRAVO28POINT2

R.I.P. BRAVO28POINT2
May 2006 - June 2009

[/center]

My first experience with off-roading was when I served in the military as a Long Distance Reconnaissance Scout. Back then I was both mounted and dismounted for countless operations but during the missions where I had to be mounted, I was put in charge as the driver of a Hatchback HUMVEE in which I had developed a flame for four wheeling in. With my use of HUMVEE B28 (Bravo Company-Vehicle # Two Eight), I had driven many lands of Pavement, Mud, Snow, Forests, Mountains, Desert, and Sand. As the team's driver and assistant team leader, I had found my self constantly servicing and modifying my HUMVEE to every extent until I took over the position of team leader; but even then, I still chose to drive my team everywhere because I would not have it any other way. As a homage to my beloved military HUMVEE, I have given my new love its name. BRAVO28POINT2

Re: Eagle Scout's BRAVO28POINT2

MODIFICATIONS I'D LIKE TO PUT IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

PERFORMANCE

A good Truck is nothing without its performance on and off the road. Whether if you are A desert Rally Racer or a Mountain Rock Crawler, everything matters. Here are a few Mods I have put into my engine so far.

Hyper Ground Systems by SUN Automobile

On a normal system, electric current flows from a positive terminal to a negative terminal through the car body. But there are much resistance at connectors of body, engine and transmission. The resistance disturbs this flow of electricity to a degree that electrical components such as computer, lamp and spark plugs cannot perform at their peaks. In order to get the highest performance out of any vehicle, it is necessary to achieve a maximum electricity flow with the least resistance along its electrical circuit.
Such system has been used among Japanese WRC (World Rally Championship) racing teams for years. Since 2000, it has become the hottest modification performed by car enthusiasts in Japan. Its effect on automobile has been proven by dyno tests again and again. It gives an increase of torque from 3500 rev. 35kg to 4800 rev. 40.9kg and an increase of horsepower from 280ps to 305.9ps. It provides a faster engine start up, Smoother and Faster Throttle response, Increased engine Torque, 15% (more or less) better mileage, Lower density of HC and CO for cleaner exhaust gas, Improved Car Audio sound quality, and Brighter headlights. Since I have installed this system, I have truly noticed better mileage, More HP and Torque, and a better Throttle response in My FJ. I recommend everyone to get this.

AFE Cold Air Intake

I believe the colder input of air that you can put into your engine, the better the performance it will be. Most of us FJ owners have either settled for a TRD or a AFE. They are basically the same only that the AFE has a hole on its side that you can choose to plug up.

LUXURY

Luxury to me means something that makes everything easier upon your life. Here are some luxuries I am happy to have that makes 4 wheeling a whole lot easier.

QuickAir 2 Air Compressor

I got the mountable one so I could keep it installed in my Engine Compartment. It beats having to find a gas station after you run a trail to air up and it will always come in handy. Although I do also have a CO2 tank, you can always run out of CO2 so this is also a fail safe for that.

MY PERSONAL TOUCH

Since the dawn of Vehicle Modifications, people have always put their own personal cosmetics to their beloved Auto. After all, how can it be your own vehicle if you don't have a signature or trademark to go with it.

L-Shaped Shifter and IMP Transfer Shifter

One of the more favorable mods and easiest is the simple personal touch of a shift knob. I for one grew up watching Japanese Animes with Futuristic Gianormous Robots that can turn into Jet Fighters that the characters pilot and this is where all my influence originated for the L-Shaped Shifter. I simply searched for months looking for one and I finally saw an old Tractor shifter on Ebay for the min. bid of $1. I bidded on it, won a week later and paid the $3 shipping fee. It was originally Amber color with sparkles until I painted it Black. I ended up cutting part of my shaft to put on the new L-Shifter.

Scangauge II Bracket

I always like the Idea to not having to look too far from the road to look at your gauge. Here is my Idea & Solution. Fabricate a bracket and mount it to the lower part of the A- Pillar Handle. (Fabrication honors to JROCK)

Thanks Doug! The reason why it took me some time was because I wanted to have something to show for instead of having a mostly stock vehicle on display. Everyone has seen one of those...

BRAVO28POINT2 is looking hot! I like the Intense Fabrication front bumper and the PIAA lights, and the smoked-out signals.
