My budding love affair

I picked up a used '07 last year & life hasn't been the same since. If I ever have a kid and come close to being as smitten with it as this truck, I'll be a lucky guy.

Here's my intro...

The FJ should have come with a warning....

Here's my first sight story...

The first time you saw an "FJ Cruiser"..

Here's the before pic.

After, so far...

more progress...

now with lift...

ADDITIONS & MODS
OEM roof rack, Hollandia 790 sunroof, Trail Gear sliders, Rough Country 3" lift, Pro Comp 8089 wheels, AVS in-track vent shades, TRD exhaust, painted roof, AFE-pro dry air filter, remote start, tinted windows to match the rear, Yakima lockable ski/board rack, FJ all weather/cargo mats, rear door storage pockets, Tuffy interior lockable console-passenger armrest, Truckgeardirect push/light bar, tow hitch brake light, 2" shifter shaft trim, ATRAC switch, VSC cancel switch, DRL kill switch, body side moldings, 2 additional center console charger outlets, 1 map box charger outlet, interior rear door release, interior rear window release & door locker/unlocker....

I stare at this thing so much, it's pathetic.

Nice looking rig.

I hate to tell you but the love affair with it will never end.

Re: My budding love affair

Thanks. I pretty much know it won't end.
Looks like you have a similar love affair there. Which bumper is that? That's another thing on my to-do list.

Re: My budding love affair

Actually next is a TRD exhaust. Then a 3" lift & new tires.
I'm sure a real bumper way down the line.

I don't want to black it all out, I want to keep a black, silver accent sort of thing...so I might do silver/steel rock rails or nerf bars. Don't want it too "bling" either, it's a deliciate balance.

I've very pleased with how the roof came out, thanks.
I found that my board rack is a little too far back, so the first time I was taking boards off my truck, a gust of wind blew & the boards hit into the truck and scratched the paint a little.
Always gonna be a little learning curve I guess...
But thankfullly I went cheap on the paint job.
I had estimates from $350-$1500 & I'm glad I went cheap.
Plus, its only a damn roof. As long as the paints matched which is a piece of cake for places with the color codes now, whatever.
