It looks like we are staying at Eielson for now. I didn't have much luck looking through listings on the internet. Housing was really expensive from what I saw. I was looking at 4 bedrooms though.

Miller how did your search go for a place to live? I only have AHRN to look at and I am not feeling to good about my prospects. Any advice on where to look Fairbanks versus North Pole?

As far as mods go, it depends on the driver. The only things that are a must are getting your vehicle(s) winterized. Since you are coming in the summer, take it to the dealer up here. That's what I did. They know what you need and only charge 495.00 for everything. Tires are another upgrade for the weather. I run st max, but any aggressive tire will be fine year round. Those are the must haves, everything else is only necessary when talking to your spouse!

DWMiller, I noticed on your profile you are at Eielson. I am being transferred to Eielson next month I have an Army Green 2012 with only aesthetic mods, waiting till after the long trip. What advice and mods might you suggest after being at Eielson for a year? Any info would be greatly appreciated and I apologize if sending a message like this is a violation of forum rules this is the first forum I have ever been on.

Anyone in or around Anchorage? I'm possibly moving there and would like to get a few links to rental property. I need at least a 4 bedroom. Thanks in advance.
