Scott Clark is the closest Toyota dealership to me, but their prices felt high. I decided to buy from Town & Country Toyota on South Boulevard. David Parker was my salesman. They have a couple in stock it looks like a Green TRD 2WD edition (I rode that one and it was very nice) and a black 4WD. I ended up getting a certified pre-owned Blue FJ. I went to all the dealerships around here and they were the ones I liked the best. Do a search on this site for truecar.com and read some of the threads, there is a lot of good advice for how to get a good price when buying new. Good luck and if you go there, ask for David Parker, tell him Steve D with the blue FJ cruiser sent you. I have put 4,000 miles on it already and loving it
I'm new to the site and saw you're in Charlotte. What has been your experience with the Toyota dealers here? I'm heading to Scott Clark's today (closet to my location) to test drive an FJ... I'd like to avoid them at all cost due to prior dealings, but I figure a test drive wouldn't hurt. What other dealerships have you been to and which would you recommend?
My offer was for a Base 4x4 Army Green, not the TTSE or the NSSE, and so I don't have any hot tips for you there. Your price sounds pretty good for a TTSE, they are going for a lot more than that here. The TrueCar.com price for a TTSE is right around that. That is a great price.
Hey there, congrats on the new ride! I read your post with interest because I'm collecting quotes for a 2011 TTSE FJ as well. Would you mind telling me what you offered? Best offer I've received has been $32.6k + TT and a $200 processing charge.
