Whats the deal with the long travel rear Suspension?
I have yet to upgrade my lower control arms in the rear or uppers bc im hoping to have someone come up with a kit form of a long travel kit. What ever happened to Metal Techs little long travel project?

Re: Whats the deal with the long travel rear Suspension?
We are about ready to release the initial version of the springs, shocks, extended bump stops and extended brake lines. We have yet to finalize the 3 link, I have done some design revisions on our own FJC and will need to come up with an axle truss for the stock housing. Both our axle and SouthTexasCruisers's axle have been bent due to inherit thin material that Toyota used.

The Total Chaos front set up along with our custom rear long travel = go faster, allot faster with control off road. Only problem is it was too fast for the stock rear housing. The suspension could take it, just the stamped bodied housing could not. Time for a truss. Also keep in mind these two test trucks have the full 3 link long travel system on them.
We are just about to release our stage one rear system that will use the stock (or aftermarket) links.

$636? Sounds like a bargain.
I'll take two, then when the price is corrected, profit big $$$$.
IMO for 2 springs, 2 shocks (listed online as $276 for the pair), machined bump stops, and longer brake lines $636 sounds about right
In what scenarios is this setup advantageous? Is it only worth it if you also have a LT front suspension? I feel like 3" is a lot of up travel to loose, especially is you're only running 33" tires and have plenty of room still in the wheel well. What situations lend themselves to having more down travel vs. more up travel?
And is Stage 1 simply just the long travel Icon shocks?
I'm no expert, but for 2 springs, 2 shocks (plain 2.0, not reservoir or piggyback), machined bump stops, and longer brake lines $636 sounds about right
You're right. I skipped right over the 2.0 VS Series notation. My mistake and apologies. (don't send me two, please, MT)
I don't want to jack up a group buy thread so will stop with, that's a good price for someone.
I didn't get out nearly as unscathed. Haha.
