We don’t formally have it on our web site yet. We are doing the first release of this bumper w/ the winch mount at $799.95. The bumper can be ran w/o the winch mount since it’s 100% separate, this shaves 40lbs off the weight. We are working on the bash plate right now to go in the winch mount place. The price for the bumper w/ the bash plate is not nailed down yet. Key thing is you can go w/o the winch for now then add the winch mount later if you want, they all work together.
Sounds great. Can't wait!

Re: Metal-tech Tube front bumper photos with 4 lights

I like that bumper with the second set of lights. I was able to see it in person on the old man run. It's a great product. Also seen Mark go under Cedar Tree during the run. That metal tech rig rocks....

So, the 799 doesn't include the bash plate or the lights?

$799.95 buys the complete bumper and the winch mount system (including all the mounting hardware). You only need the bash plate if you choose to not run the winch mount.

We will have the bumper w/o the winch mount come with the bash plate (will cost less than the version with the winch mount). The winch mounts will also be available separate so one can add it on later when they want to add the winch. Light mounting points are on the bumper but the lights themselves are not included, however we do have them in stock.

Just happen to also take that shot. Here you can see part of the independent winch mount. We do not use the 1/8” thick bumper flange off the face of the frame, to mount both the bumper and a winch mount. The winch mount is 100% separate and mounts off the hard points on the side of the frame. The bumper mounts only off the stock bumper mounting points.

Q: Why do it this way, would it be cheaper to make it all one unit?

A: #1 This puts the stress of the winch where it belongs and is behind the four-crumple points that the bumper is mounted off. (Don’t want to put a winch in front of those points, not one with our name on it!)
#2 This allows keeping the weight of the winch mount out of the bumper so those that chose to not run a winch don’t have to haul the weight. (As in 40lbs weight loss!) Yet at the same time if you want to add it down the road you can.
#3 Cheep is low on our list of priorities, value yes (see #2 for that). Parts with our name on them are meant to be used. Ask anyone running our parts, this is our 7th year so there are a few out there. (FJ40 and FZJ80, ask on IH8MUD.com - "The Truth is in the Rocks" or Pirate4x4.Com about our parts)
#4 Two part system makes for a quick one person installation w/ the easiest winch install ever. Easiest winch install ever.
