Chicago Area - Teaching each other? Is that possible?
I know this is a bit off topic but this is the best place i could see this happening. I just perused the topic "Homemade Mods" under the 4X4 /Offroad section". I found it eye opening, enlightening, and thought provoking! We all have some talent regarding ideas for mods but putting them in action is something completely different. Is there anyone in the Chicago area on this board that could teach myself and the rest of us on this board the basics of welding on mild steel? I for one would go out of my way to host this "class" and pass along some of the info I have regarding electrical basics and some mechanical tips I have learned over the years! (I do have my AS-EET in Electrical Engineering.) We can learn a heck of a lot from each other . Why not start something here that could benefit everyone?
