I am having a hard time getting mid west drivers to do a get together? So it looks like im going to head all the way to the Moab from green bay WI just to have some off road fun. Looks like I will leave mon morning and get back on the next Tue. Whats up guys and girls why is all the fun stuff so far away?

Welcome to the Midwest. Those things we call hills are pimples compared to the giants out West they call mountains.

Re: no runs mid west

If you don't mind sand pimples head to Silver Lake in Mich here some time. I think you may have thought about it during our last trip, right? There's usually a few of us here to head with you. They have great info at their forum site Silver Lake Sand Dunes Forum - Index and it's a great place to spend some time vacationing. But, sorry no rocks there!

Have you ever tried to head north at all? Also, check the other forums around the area here like Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Association - Home or Great Lakes Off-Road. Let us know what you come up with.

Re: no runs mid west

I always thought that if you headed NW and around WI/MI there were great forestry trails and camping?

A guy from WI (Madison) said he could go in there for a week and not do the same route twice?

South Dakota ain't too far! Our club goes out at least monthly -- plus, you gotta come in July for the Black Hills Cruiser Classic (as featured in Issue:02). Here's a link to the classic...

true....'cept the Forest Service doesn't want wheelers rutting up their forest roads until the frost is completely out...the gentlemen's agreement is May 1.
