Who's interested in a Chicago "Tech Day/Meet and Greet"?

There are certainly a few of us in the Chicagoland area new to the FJ phenomenon and all the associated mods. I'm curious if there is any interest in putting together a Tech Day/ Meet and Greet?

The basis of it would be to get together and perform mods or installs on each others vehicles. Nothing too scary mind you, just some basic wrenching and hand holding. Some folks are interested in body mount chops while others could use help installing after-market parts. I'm sure there would be folks interested in just being a voyeur during this. (Mind out of the gutter perverts!)

There are folks on the board who have skills in wrenching, Krylon, audio systems, suspensions, etc. Why not use each others talents? The point would be to meet up, learn something, and come away with a smile.

I'm in! I do my own installs and would be happy to help out for anyone else.

Would also like to learn to weld if someone wants to demonstrate.

What would you guys be looking to get done?

I'll be looking for a hand doing the lift. In return I am offering to help on a body mount chop or other part install. My chop didn't take any longer than 45 minutes a side doing it on my own.

Hopefully we can get Dragon (aka "Mr. Krylon") to show us his painting skills. He has a ton of other talents too from what I've seen on here.

Looking to learn mainly. I might look at doing SCUBA MOD, since I am a Diver, might as well have an FJ that dives as well.....

I really have no skills (except persistance in muddling through) but would love to get together

I have all the stuff for the scuba mod too. I just haven't gotten off my butt to do it.
