Re: TOGA-Update on Stephens checkered FJ / HELP!!!!!

arbitration was last thursday. Man said it would take up to 10 days to have an official answer. Nothing yet, but i havent gotten the mail. We will see when the wife gets home. Our whole family has been ill as well with a stomach flu that our son must have picked up at day care. He was nice enough to share, so I havent been out of the house for the last 2 days.

hope you all feel better, let me know as soon as you here something, This really suck but i feel your pain, thirty thousand dollars on a rig and i have to service it just like my old truck, I have over 40,000 in mine now and they wouldn't even cover the pulley's. but i almost expected that. which is why i have had no reservations about modifying it.

Again good luck and keep me posted, I do have a trans on hold if we need it.Hope that is not the case though

Re: TOGA-Update on Stephens checkered FJ / HELP!!!!!

Well,

I got the letter and big surprise, they dont agree with me. The 80 year old man who did the arbitration didnt seem to understand the whole offroad mindset. He focused soley on the numbers that Toyota presented and completely glossed over the fact that regardless of numbers this truck is built in such a way that this shouldnt happen.

Oh Well. Im over it.

Now moving forward I need to make an insurance claim. I dont know how to go about it though. If any of you have any suggestions, I would love to hear it. I think I will be trailering the truck down to Chris and Charity's shop this weekend.

Gotta look for the silver lining, so here it is....

I tell Connie a few weeks back: "You do know that we're getting a snorkle now right?"

Her Answer: " I know."

Gotta love that woman.

Oh man .. that sucks...damn Toyota, I guess their quality isn't much better then American cars, especially when they don't stand behind their words.

Well good luck getting it fixed and be sure to add all the scuba mods.

Wow..sounds depressing. Do you have another thread where you explained what happened in the first place? Hope your family feels better after your bout with the flu.

I used to work for Allstate Insurance as a claim adjuster. I have two friends that still work there. What do you need in terms of help? Who is your insurance company? Go ahead and PM me....I would be happy to assist with your insurance claim!

Bob

That's ^ what makes this forum great! People looking out for eachother. So far in this short thread people have offered their trailer, their shop, their extra tranny, their tools and advice for dealing with the insurance company. Rep points all around...wait never mind.
