TOGA -> Registration for Summit

Heya TOGA,

Last Sunday was registration and we had to choose trails and time slots upon registering
FJSummit 2008 National Meet

Do you know which trails and what time your going to run? Would be fun if we could do at least one trail together as a new club.

Re: TOGA -> Registration for Summit tomorrow

I dought I'll be going this year either, sorry to say we've been sort of back and fourth on this. It's a good idea though.

Re: TOGA -> Registration for Summit tomorrow

I am planning on registering today. The three that caught my eye (I didn't go last year) are:

Black Bear Pass
Cinnamon Pass
Engineer Pass

Any input is appreciated and I will look here before I register...

Black Bear is a MUST....trust me, you'll remember it for the rest of your life. I was more anxious about it than any other. We even did it on Friday the 13th so I was sure to get all my affairs in order before the ride

The Alpine loop can be done alone and at your own pace, if the crowd's slow-downs get to you a little. (The Alpine Loop connects the ghost town of Animas Forks with Lake City using Cinnamon Pass going in one direction and Engineer Pass going the other).

There are no "bum steers" in the group as far as trail selection, it is an amazing place to trail ride.

Re: TOGA -> Registration for Summit tomorrow

Thanks for the input Rover! IF I do go, those will be the trails I'd like to hit! We have the Chicagoland Toyota Jamboree the following weekend so I'd really need to burn up some of my days off to do both.

Do it .. do it now ...

Ouray is going to be the first real Family Vacation for my family in a long while. But I hope I can catch the ChiTown Jamboree as well.

Re: TOGA -> Registration for Summit tomorrow

My assigned vacation this year starts 18 May. Any other time off more than 5 days straight has to be approved by a Deputy Chief. I am saving that for a family Christmas vacation to the tropics.

I could get time off for Ouray but that depends on a few different factors. It could be done though.

I am waiting to hear what my familys plans are for the summer. They were talking about going to Bamf National Park and Lake Louise. I can't pass on a free trip like that! If it does not work out.. im going to Colorado! I should know in a few weeks.
