Re: I lost my mind...

Thanks guys! I've diverted my FJC funds to the 62. I almost forgot that the older the rig, the more expensive it is to mod it! The lift I'm looking at is about 3X more than the FJC's!

I'm focusing on the suspension, brakes, and tires for now. Hopefully Ill have front and rear lockers in the future. I found that if I get the right 16" steelies with 33"-35" tires, I can swap between the rigs.

If all goes well, you'll hopefully see it on the trails this summer!

Has more to do with being a landcruiser than being old.

Re: I lost my mind...

Phil,

If you like the blacked out look for the wheels, I dont think you could go wrong with the steelies from Wheelers offroad .com. I have them on my FJC and I couldnt be happier with them. Nice and beefy and inexpensive. I think I paid around 450-475 for 5 of them shipped. And that was at about 40lbs each.

Re: I lost my mind...

Thanks for the absolute chuckle John! I'm saving that one for my Mud avatar! No truer words have been spoken!

I took a look at your rims while at Chris and Charity's. I'm checking off-sets and can hopefully swap new meats and rims between the C and the 62 for wheeling.

Now the only thing I need is more cash!! Will pimp for mods!

Re: I lost my mind...

It finally lives.....

Compared to.....

I need to finish off a couple of things before I wheel it. Needless to say I'm going to have fun with this! I'll post better pics tomorrow. The biggest beef I have is waiting for parts! It took over a month just to get the front knuckle rebuild kit and lift.

Re: I lost my mind...

Thanks for the compliments guys! The pain was definitely worth the outcome! So as promised a couple more pics for you!

A little bit of a stinkbug stance but I like that.

It wouldn't be an LC without a little lean to it!

Phil, great find! It looks like it's in great shape for a northern vehicle. The only downside is that Kerry/Edwards sticker in the rear window. Enjoy the new toy!
knew that one was coming...I was actually skimming the posts to find it
