Phil, you better hope they don't use you as a Meter Maid!
Anyways, let that trigger hand heal and come join us soon.
Although you would look quite dashing in a skirt Phil!

Sorry to hear about your rig. First we break em then we fix em. It's not being careless, it is finding the weak spots and making it better, faster, stronger....We have the technology....We can rebuild it.

Yeah, Im a super nerd.

One thing most of you don't realize is that for 6 years I wore a kilt! Yes I played bagpipes and bass drum. No, I will not model it for you bunch of freaks. Talk amongst yourselves if you must. You'll never know the power of the kilt.

I'll actually be going into work tomorrow since I don't want to deal with the headaches involved in going on the medical rolls. I have a new Sgt. and don't want to cause any issues with him. In the meantime I'll have to practice shooting "weak hand". I've done it before after some guy broke my hand with his face.

I'm waiting to hear back from my insurance agent. She's going to love me after this one!

UPDATE: Truck is heading to the body shop this afternoon. I need to swap out the tires and empty out the interior. So much fun! Now I definitely need my FJ62 parts if I want to ride anywhere!

Did you play one of the original bag pipes, sheep stomach???

I knew you are old, not that old...

Looking at the pics, the FJ held up well enough.

The best bags are actually Canmore (Vinyl and Kevlar). They're lightweight and hold up to abuse better than anything else. There are a few purists out there who use all the original stuff during competitions. Sheeps bladder and cane reeds are a bear to maintain and wear out significantly faster than the newer materials. You have to wash the bag out every couple of months to prevent mildew from forming. Considering how much I smoke, the "residue" left in the bag had me gagging a couple of times!

Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill any day of the week!

The lady at the body shop was giggling when I brought the FJ in today. She said at least I used the vehicle as intended! She's seen a few of these already from various accidents. She giggled more after she said they have to wash the mud off it first so they can find all the damage. I asked her to do the underbody a few times since I still have trail cabbage from last year under there! I should know the full extent of the damage by the end of the week. In the meantime I have my bus pass to get back and forth to work. My insurance agent said she'd get me a decent car rental but I can't take it anywhere near a trail! I'll hold off for now until I get tired of the Big Green Limousine (Old slang for a CTA bus!)
